The 2011 AGM was held at Ballymore on 5 December 2011. There were 23 participants with 5 apologies. 13 Clubs were represented. While most of the existing committee was re-elected a new delegate for Central Qld/Wide Bay was elected with the joint nomination of David Smith & Mark Clancy from the Rumruckers to share the position.

A presentation was given by Paul Gleeson from Vintage Rugby about their upcoming Festival in Hawaii in late September 2012. Plenty of information was available, details were explained and many questions answered. The Festival will be the subject on another item on this site. Just have a look for it.

In a recap of the year Dunga asked us to remember the work we were able to do as an organization in terms of following up the flood aftermath. Many VRQ members lent their time to gather itemsof food and clothing right up to office equipment and then to distribute these items to those in need. It was also noted that Terry McVicker and David Kerr also generously contributed product from their businesses.

Greg Cree gave a run down of the Veterans 10s Festival run in conjuction with the IRB 7s. The six teams that went all had a great time and much was learned to make the 2012 Festival to be held in October to be even better. It is hoped more details will be available soon.
