Veterans Rugby Gold Coast 10’s Festival - Follow Up

THE EVENT

The first Veterans 10s has come and gone and those of you who participated will know what a great time was had by all. Six teams came together to enjoy an afternoon full of rugby and much comaraderie and good fun well into the evening and the post match dinner and entertainment. The next morning we assembled at a Broadbeach eatery for breakfast before enjoying/enduring a circuit of Gold Coast watering holes led by Chris Buddha Handy to finally end up at the first day of the IRB 7s Tournament held at Robina. There we enjoyed the atmosphere and revelry as the best 7s teams in the world gathered for the first round of the 2011-2012 season.

Veterans 10s - 2012

If you missed 2011, fear not. The event will be on again this year. The timing will be a little earlier; in October and will tie in with the IRB 7s and the Bledesloe Cup match. More details will be posted as they are confirmed but VRQ will accept any team nominations any time. It is expected that the packages will be more open so as to appeal to as many as possible.
